The Tempest by William Shakespeare Spectacular outdoor theatre tour!
Award winning MATE Productions (Best of Liverpool Theatres 2012 & 2016) present their stunning outdoor co-production of ‘The Tempest’ in partnership with the Shakespeare North Trust, and in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company. A tempestuous storm, a ship wreck, an enchanted island, a magician, a pair of lovers, a tale of treachery, revenge and love, a large helping of the supernatural and a hilarious subplot involving a monster and a couple of fools! Original live music, spectacular design, and a multi-generational ensemble of actors, dancers, singers and musicians bring one of Shakespeare’s final and most magical plays to woodlands and gardens across Merseyside and to the RSC in Stratford Upon Avon. Seating will be provided in Prescot and Halewood, for other venues please bring a camping chair or picnic blanket. Refreshments will be on sale.
